In June, the 3rd Carbon Governance Forum was held in Shanghai Hongqiao, co-organized by the Carbon Governance Forum Committee, the Sino-British Carbon Governance Council, the Yangtze River Delta Belt and Road High-Quality Development Promotion Association, and Fudan University’s Urban Environmental Management Research Center.

Under the theme “Green Global Expansion · Smart Transformation | Building a Sustainable Global Value Chain,” the forum fostered cross-industry dialogues on climate finance, low-carbon globalization, industrial transformation, and carbon market development.
Shanghai Ailu was invited to participate, with Dr. Yuan Caigen, Head of Sustainability, joining the roundtable discussion. He exchanged insights with industry leaders on carbon management, ESG rating systems, regulatory requirements, and green development in the new materials sector.
Dr. Yuan emphasized that carbon neutrality has become a critical benchmark for corporate globalization. “The ‘Dual Carbon’ goals impose binding emission reduction targets but also unlock transformative opportunities—driving technological innovation, energy efficiency upgrades, and long-term sustainable growth,” he noted. Chinese enterprises must align with global green economy standards, fostering collaboration to reshape competitiveness in the carbon-neutral era.
